Marta Glad it caught your attention, thank you! 🙂 Seems strange but some people still place old tubs in the garden to collect rainwater. There's also a well pump right behind it so I guess someone uses it as a huge rainwater container. In fact, there was another one in the area 🙂

Dana Lightman Thanks for filling me in with an explanation. It makes sense and is much more photogenic than the big plastic barrels I see people use here to collect rainwater by the sides of their houses.
