Satoshi T The cat's ears are very thin, but many blood vessels are organized! What was the result of the sugar level test? Iskra need dietary restrictions?

120mr Iskra isn't a young cat anymore, she's over fifteen and unfortunately she has diabetes, it was dicover in the middle of December and now we're trying to lower the sugar level with insuline shots and diet. It's difficult, because Iskra is hungry the whole time, and quite skinny (I can feel the bones throught the skin, especially scapula and hips) but I can't give her too much food, because of the glucose in the blood... And the results was very bad (way over five times more than average), now they are only bad (three times more). In the summer Iskra was even skinnier - she didn't want to eat because of wrong functioning of the thyroid. We had been at vet every day then "Iskra #45" Long story short - daily I have to put in this little cat so so many pills and vitamins, but it's starting to work I guess.

Thank you for the care ♥

Satoshi T Oh ... poor Iskra! Curio is 14 years old and has chronic renal failure. Only about 20% of the kidneys are functioning. We also go to vet weekly for rehydration treatment and I give him a pill every day... I understand your feelings, but you and Iskra seem to be more serious...

120mr It's good that veterinary medicine let us to take a good care of our cats. And I hope, that the drugs will help Iskra's pancreas the same like with the thyroid. But hey, I can do the injections now.

The most important thing is that although Iskra is hungry and doesn't want play with toys anymore - she still hunts for birds, on November she caught a piggeon on the balcony. ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ
