Project 365, Roll 01, Day 013
One of my favorite places - the old Vitkovice steel plant in Ostrava. This industrial complex was partly preserved and serves as a industrial heritage site (with more then 1mln. tourists it is one of the most visited tourist spots in the Czech republic). Unfortunatelly some parts were demolished but on the bright side it is accessible 24/7 and our government will invest even more money (with the majority of the funds comming from EU budgets) to turn two more buildings into the industrial museum = ie. it will be preserved; otherwise it would deteriorate over time and would have to be demolished as well. I hope it will stand long!
