Project 365, Roll 01, Day 018
Recently, I have learned that our region had quite a lot of ponds and fish produce was really advanced. Then came the industrial revolutions, coal mining that really changed appearance of our region reshaping the landscape & damaging many towns and villages (that is why there are nearly no castles in one part of our region - nearly all were destroyed). This is one of the big ponds near Ostrava, just under one of the big heaps of waste from coal mining and steel making (even after several decades it still burns inside and fumes are clearly visible, there are more such heaps).
But this is a really nice place - calm, peaceful. I love such places. With Spring comming, I will be there more.
