I had different plans for where to go for my photo. I've been trying to, well, not avoid, but not frequent the river as much because I get so many shots from here.
So I decided to go to the Shrine of Remembrance for sunset. To get there, the tram is just a block away from work, and it's maybe a 20 minute tram trip.
Get to the tram stop and wait and wait and wait. I can see that there are trams banked up the other way, and nothing moving.
I check online and a truck has hit a rail bridge. Stopping all train routes and the majority of the tram routes running through the city.
That's okay, I decide to walk down to Swanston St (about 10 minute walk) and get the tram from there. Oh, right. They're ripping up the road and no trams for 2 weeks.
So I gave up and decided to go the river route for my sunset photo. Sunset was nothing special, it had been overcast most of the day, but there was a bit of colour in it just before it set.
Getting home was fun, ended up having to walk almost to the Shrine anyway to get a tram as the trains were cancelled for almost 2 hours straight.
