We found this young kestrel hopping around and chirping and were not sure about what to do with him. He was not yet a good flyer, but not completely helpless either. When we found his or her brother or sister around the corner and saw some adults in the air we assumed that this was probably some sort of family excursion we barged in and so we decided to leave them alone and not to call the Vogelwarte (ornithological institute) or the fire brigade to come and help them. I hope that they are fine and that their parents looked after them after we left!
