Two exciting things happened in the past couple of days - we can now move within 10km rather than 5km, and my shiny new Sony Xperia 1 iii phone was delivered. I avoided the city yesterday due to the protests but today I went for a walk.
The camera on the Xperia has a learning curve. It has 2 main photography modes - basic, which is true point and shoot, and photography pro which is based on the Sony Alpha interface, for better or worse. I'm used to shooting manual on my A7Riii, but it's much slower to use manual on a phone when you need to change the settings via the menu system rather than dials on the camera.
Also, while having a physical shutter button is nice, I nearly dropped the phone several times because they've removed the on screen shutter, making vertical shots really awkward.
That said, looking forward to getting out and exploring a little bit and pushing the phone to see what its limits are.
