Had a fairly busy day, which included going to a memorial service this afternoon. Tony had been chairman of the choir I sang in from 1978 - 92, and was a wonderful man. He had made many musical friends during his time, and during the service we sat and listened to "A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square", a 'home' recording of Tony playing the piano and Wynford Evans singing. Most of the congregation had known Wynford too.
Short of photos, and mindful of both Tony and the victims of the actions in Brussels, I went into our local church this evening, lit the candles and had a few quiet and prayerful minutes as I took a couple of photographs. Son walked across in front of me during the long exposure - rather like the effect.
