I was a about 30 min later getting up to the loch this morning. There were a few dog walkers around. I saw the young heron flying around over head. She landed on the top of the Dovecote and looked around. She obviously spotted a safe area to land close to me but away from the dogs. She flew down and landed. I made my way across and started feeding her as quickly as she was able to eat. When I had emptied her box I turned it over and she was straight off up the loch. One woman (walking a dog) said to me "I wanted to feed that one, but it flew away". I just told her that the dog probably put her off. However the young Heron must have had a bit of a stressful wait.
