There seems to be a bit of a pattern developing. When I first approach the loch,, the young heron flies over to greet me. After a few minutes she flies to the drainage area of the loch and waits/watches for me following. I then give her the rest of her fish. To be honest I am happier when she is in the water as she is safe from the dogs. The only downside used to be that the swans and geese gave her a hard time. They now keep their distance. Today a greylag got a bit close so she faced it and fluffed up her crest which made it back right off.
