Did I Forget to Mention Football?

Canton, Ohio (USA) is the birthplace of the National Football League & home to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, so with hometown girl pride I must include a pic of these 7' bronze figures that overlook the annual Hall of Fame parade route. Artist Gail Folwell was commissioned to demonstrate the collaboration between business and art in the world of football. The following is a small excerpt from an interview as Folwell shared personal insight on her magnificent 5 man sculpture titled 'NFL Draft, 1936' ... "I was compelled to conceptually portray the team owner in a suit as the center on the team, building the roster of players around him.” It was in 1936 that then football commissioner, Bert Bell, organized the first football college draft to help equalize the pro-teams on the playing field.
