There were no heron waiting this morning a few crows greeted me but not as many as usual. When I got near the edge of the water the young male flew over. He jumped the fence and had a feed then flew off. I reached the clearing and the little female (pictured) was waiting. I started feeding her and had given her a reasonable amount when the chick flew over and chased her. As there was no dispute over this I assume this must be the chick's territory, I gave her a feed then made my way back in case any thing else flew over but there was nothing.
