Drive by Chinook

On my way home tonight I took a quick snap in the direction of the mountains because it was the golden hour and it's hard not to take a pic especially when you have a camera in your hand. At the top of the image is a Chinook Arch. It is a straight and vast amount of cloud that acts like a blanket. When we get this Chinook in the middle of winter it can actually melt an enormous amount of snow in just one day due to the warm winds that can elevate the temperature as much as 20 degrees celsius in the plus direction.
