A cold but dry morning. There were 5 heron met me at the entrance. They included, the little female (pictured), Hyde, the adult male and the male with the dark patch plus another young male. I managed to feed them without too much trouble although hyde was her usual aggressive self. I then moved to the slope where another adult male joined the group. I had just started feeding them when a dog ran over and chased them all off, one by one. The owner made no attempt to control the dog. When they had both moved on the heron regrouped, 4 on the slope and two at the edge of the water. I continued feeding them. Gave the crows and the coot biscuits then headed home.
