Grey Heron

There were no heron around at the gate, however there was one on a tenement roof. It did not come down though. I made my way to the loch, but still nothing. When I got to the clearing the little female (pictured) flew over. She had a very good feed as did the 3 coots (1 adult and 2 chicks). When I went back round I noticed that the new platform is almost complete so I think they have been cutting wood a lot. The noise would be enough to scare them. The adult male flew over and landed on the platform, which is fenced off just now. I was able to feed the male by throwing it's fish over the fencing.
