conflict

Our caretaker has discovered a wasp nest in the attic of our apartment block. My co-owners then decided this afternoon that it has to be removed immediately because it is close to several bedroom windows - without considering that it could also be harmless wasps. Unfortunately, I only heard the discussion this evening. Although I react very strongly to their stings, I feel sorry for the wasps, especially after having taken some photos of them, because they have built such a nice nest, and apart from that they are beneficial insects. I wrote a mail to an expert to ask him if this kind of wasps are dangerous or harmless. No answer yet. Maybe some of you guys can tell me this too and I have the chance to change the decision of my neighbours.
