Taking inspiration

Macro was the subject at camera club last night. I saw some amazing images, but at one point the speaker showed us an image, an artistic close up of an orchid flower with a drop of water on it - which he said had taken him 2 hours to get that image to his satisfaction. I prefer a walk in the garden to see what I can see. But - he earns money from his talks, and I, of course, do not and could not! And I need to practice, practice, practice.
