'I See the Moon'

A recent ceramic project was inspired by my favorite childhood nursery rhyme 'I See the Moon'. I formed the moon around a basketball, which was removed prior to the clay hardening. The two clay halves were then placed back together & the facial features completed before firing in the kiln. My completed moon is tucked into a flowerbed of yarrow & conefowers.
