Mystery lawn plant flower thingy.

I usually like to be able to identify the flora or fauna I am photographing but I have no clue what this cool purple plant is that grows in my backyard. Had a lot of fun laying down using my tripod to get these shots. There are a lot of shots I like from today but I guess this wins out because I do like the DOF and I honestly used mostly f-8.0 for just about everything else.
