I came across a small herd of about 6 bucks or stags, I really don't know what you call them but I do know they are all males.

It's nice. Nearest buck looks like playing hide-and-seek :D
Thank you @Satoshi The nearest buck is what I focused on because he was laying down calmly chewing his food, if you look closely you can see his cheeks are bulging and he indeed is hiding and watching to make sure I don't move to close to him :)
A delightful photo. I especially like the one with head and horns peeking up in the foreground.
Thank you @Margie ! His cheeks were full of food and he was keeping an eye on me :)
Wonderful bucks. Nearest and the one on the left in the back have given good pose
Thank you very much @Amarnath :)
cool! but that allowed so close approaches? :) Great shot bvphotosnap :)
Thank you very much @Tomasz I used my sigma 150-500mm lens and they were on a hill so I opened up the moon roof or sunroof of my vehicle and I shot standing up through it with my lens resting on the roof and was almost at their eye level, vehicles act as a blind in most cases. They were curious but I wasn't close enough to bother them.
Thank you for your comprehensive answer :)Now I see that you have a focal length of 500!!!
