Snappin' & Stringin'

My family still grows the old-style green bean known has 'Half-runners'. They have a great 'bean' flavor & are high yielding, but require a bit more work ... snapping & stringing! As a kid I disliked this chore, but now I actually find the methodical process meditative - partly due to the happy, nostalgic family memories it evokes.
