Satoshi T CC:I feel that focus did not reach on distant branches. In this case, I place the focus where the branch enters into the DOF. btw, Nice composition! :)
jewels Thanks for the CC @Satoshi, always much appreciated! Actually, I experimented with different apertures, with the idea of having the branches in or out of focus (in one, I actually had all the branches completely unfocused). The idea was to exaggerate the height of the tree and I thought having the top branches slightly unfocused would underline that. I will try it differently next time to see how it feels/look with a crisp look all the way :-)
tigg I took one almost the exact same as this today - mine was an oak tree - but chose to post the one of our little dog instead.
