bvphotosnap What a great capture and also a great idea!! I've only seen a golden eagle twice. I know that they are here and there is a big migration in November but I have never witnessed that yet ☺ What brought this eagle on the ground? Are these Magpies as well?

Rafal Thanks for Your nice comment. It is a place (meadow rounded by forest) where since october people put carcass for winter feeding of the birds (like in forest places where You can put some hay for deers etc). They do it every day for winter months. So the birds of prey are quite common visitors. Normally there are crows, magpies, ravens and buzzards, quite often white-tailed eagles are arriving, and occasionally golden eagles (so I was lucky). He came on the ground after two days of my awaiting in a hiding place. He was there for 20 minutes. Magpies, crows and ravens where there for almost whole day. Interestingly that when ravens start to eat, after them eagles starts too, not earlier. Ravens are very cautious...Buzzards are afraid of the eagles, and while eagles are coming, buzzurds are gone. Very interesting observations for a bird watchers

bvphotosnap Wow! That's so awesome, I'd love to see that, that's a great opportunity for you and those that love raptors!
