Yumi Miyazaki The photo, your expression, just so into the scene. Are you sure, you are not professional model?

This reminds me of the confession scene in the church, Katrina.

And I thought grandma would say, its ok, more "fat", more "prosper" 😂😂😂

Katrina Yu Haha I swear I'm not. But I'm a portrait photographer so I learned how to pose people ;)
And my grandma is extremely self-conscious. She doesn't go out of the house without make-up or especially having her eyebrows done. 😂😂😂

Yumi Miyazaki Uowww! Grandma is trendy! Oh u r portrait photographer!!! Btw btw, do u know thesketchbookproject.com? Your art is so suitable for that! ✌🏻✌🏻

Katrina Yu I've heard of thesketchbookproject!! I think it's a wonderful movement. But I don't doodle or sketch, a stick person is the most I can do. This is how I sketch my ideas (pbs.twimg.com/media/C1z-EsOVEA...) 😂

But if you're into sketch doodles, check this artist out -kerbyrosanes.com. I can just get lost in his doodles. ;)

Yumi Miyazaki Oh wow! that rainbow!! you made the sketch of your ideas, i see..!!! its cool!!!! now you reminded me: i made my own greeting cards in the past, and watercolored my dogs and other owner's shiba inu breed, but when i was learning, many many many people did the sketch like you did!!!! and some even tried to do color theme based on something they saw in the real life, such as wedding color theme, let say blue and silver, so they made their drawing with such color theme, etc... But for me, i didn't sketch the ideas, come to think about it, i don't know how i got by, lol...more like something in my head and i tried it out right away.

Wow, that doodles from kerby are sooooooo COOOOL!!!!
even with cat bus and ghibli.... way way coool!...

Yumi Miyazaki @itskatrina
I wanted to do thesketchbookproject since last year, but i did not have enough time and also i did not have confidence.

It's good that you heard it, but you know i asked them, what can i put in there, some scribble? some drawing? some photos?
Same like you, i thought sketchbookproject means some thing like what kerby does.

It is not. Their movement is not just that. Surely name is sketchbook but you can put anything in the book that they provided.

I am still not decided to sign up yet, its in my cart but i have not checked out. To start is to buy their empty "notebook" with 30 pages? i forgot.. then you can fill up with whatever you want. Folded papers, 3D pop up, patchwork, some knit work, photography, drawing, your scribble, your sketch of ideas, children's handprint, dog's pawprint, poet, essay, comic, some children's theme book, whatever you have in your head.

I say its more like scrapbook theme, lol...
But right now they have a "writing challenge" with the Hope as theme, or Fear as theme, you can choose.
2 weeks ago, I contacted them again, to ask if it's just writing to portray our hope/despair / fear....
Their respond was: it 's primarily writing challenge but you can put drawing, photography, pictures too.

When i looked through your photos, Katrina, it carried so many feelings. I immediately thought of that book. You portray them well, you wrote interesting description too.. Please consider it, ha ha..

I am still deciding too, ha ha ha... Same concern, do i have enough time..

My interest is more like children's theme book (my dogs will be the main subject) and I 'm thinking of "Hope" as the theme. Its rather hard to gain ideas. :D
