Not so pristine

Snow! Was on my way to work but I just had to get off the subway at Old Town to take some photos.

I was drawn to the background – all monochrome except for the graffiti – so I waited for some people to walk past. This guy in his dapper coat made for a nice contrast against that grit. I usually want the weight of the person to be on the front foot, it looks more dynamic and creates better lines but in this case I think the back foot works for some reason.

I wish I had set the shutter speed to 250 or 320 so I could have avoided his face being slightly blurred. Raising the ISO certainly wouldn't have been a problem with all the snow whirling around...
