With dedication for @cgowing - some of my toys macro

At the top, in the background - you can see two-axis sled, which allows to fine-tune the focus and move the subject (both forward/backward and to the sides)

I use extension tubes as the base for lenses - cool option for a fairly precise macro photography (screwed between the camera and the lens, using them however require additional light source)

I also use close-up lenses (screwed to the front of the lens) - they are cheap screw-in parts which are used as a additional filter for the lens - the major drawback of them however is that only object in the center are sharp
