Romain
hey tnx @bvphotosnap for your kind comments... I always looking forward to see your commentaries...
BTW... these are the blossoms of sour cherries and these cherries are delicious to lay on alcohol and sugar... ;-)
bvphotosnap oh cool! Do you mean like this? roxyskitchen.com/homemade-sour... ;)
bvphotosnap oh and those blossoms probably have a beautiful scent too right?
Romain Oh.. it look almost the same... the only difference is that we use white rock sugar (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rock_can...) and we let de sour cherries in de alcohol solution until we drink it. It have to stay for at least 1 year in the cellar.... you have to wait for a long time... but it's worth it...
Romain
no... totally not...
Are there growing fruit trees at the place you live?
bvphotosnap oh wow, I googled the cherries, alcohol and sugar and it came back with the liqueur ☺
bvphotosnap Yes we have some, the town planted crab-apple trees all along the boulevards, they have beautiful blossoms but we don't eat the fruit. In this province I'm not sure what kind of fruit trees can survive :/
Romain
aha... then we have more luck... I'm living in the Hesbaye (Haspengouw) region and this is a little bit of the fruit chamber of Belgium :-)
In a few weeks the fruit trees will have a lot of blossoms, and we will have a lot of tourists here to watch all this beauty. It's really impressive to drive by bicycle or scooter along the routes ...

craig A beautiful Shot!
bvphotosnap That is awesome!! I love the combination of the fresh clean white petals compared to the round shriveled dark shapes in the background! Great composition!
