This jack rabbit was munching on the grass until he discovered me and then froze. As soon as I moved then he moved. His coat is now brown to help camouflage as compared to the winter when it was all white. I think I might see him more often due to this being the third time today, maybe he/she has a family near by...
craig Excellent capture! I love it!
bvphotosnap Thanks very much @craig!

Margie Amazing focus and darling little guy!
bvphotosnap Thanks very much Margie!
Tomasz Dolata Super shot in good light :) I think the hares often assimilate with the city....
bvphotosnap Thank you so much Tomasz! I think they find safety in the town because the coyotes live on the edge of town ;)
freyr Great details!
bvphotosnap Thanks very much @freyr!
jayce Very nice capture with a great light. Fun to imagine this rabbit is all white in winter to mix up with snow, the magic of nature..
bvphotosnap Thank you Jayce! I know right! When he started to turn brown our snow was melting, then we got a lot of snow and he really stood out! :D
Danuta Woow !!! Excellent ! ... Beautiful light, impeccable image purity , I like it very much ;)
bvphotosnap Thanks so much @Danuta for your very kind words! ☺
Romain hahaha..... first Flemish immigrant in your town? :-D
bvphotosnap That's so cool! I had no idea! :D
Romain accidentally.... I saw the day before yesterday one for selling in a pet store... They are really hugh (and cost about €60)
bvphotosnap I know that they are big and I've watched them hop around me when I would be in my car before dawn in the winter when I lived further north. They can take huge bounds, longer than a car length! As many as we have around here I've not ever heard of anyone keeping one as a pet :/
