vera Thank you! That's so interesting to discover common things in an another land! I'm not a specialist of birds of course, but I've never seen this sort here in the lake of Geneva . I'll look at better and perhaps once make a pic (if I can ;-))

craig Thanks Terry! In this case I only had to hang around a few seconds, the gulls were very obliging. I rarely need to wait too long though, on occasion a handful of bird food helps.
