graveyard for streetlamps

I like streetlamps a lot and therefor it makes me feel a bit sad to see 'our' old streetlamps lying in the dirt. After many years they have been replaced by LED-lights today. I could save at least one of the old streetlamps of my town when they started replacing streetlamps a few years ago. It is now our balcony lamp and I replaced its lightbulb by - guess what? - a LED lamp. Other people are just shaking their head when they hear that I have a streetlamp on the balcony :D

jazzie Yes. And I'm not so happy about the design of the new ones. Their shape looks very functional. The old ones where a bit like 'beings' that were looking down to protect the road. In a very abstract way of course.
