airport reunion

Imagine trying to coordinate international flights from two different cities so you'd meet up at the same time at the baggage claim area while making sure that your pickup is also on time. Somehow, my sisters and I managed to converge at the airport without even trying, all because my flight from Shanghai was delayed by more than 14 hours and my sister's flight from Honolulu came in a half-hour early aided by a strong tail wind. We came through customs together, and then we ran into the third sister wandering the arrival area. Like I said, you couldn't have planned this encounter with greater precision. ha!
