Candy Wrappers and Rice Paper

Airport run today: my daughter back from England, her friend back from China, everyone arriving at more-or-less the same time. Her friend brought back Chinese candy, including wafer-like rice paper ones. He also brought back 100-year eggs which we tried. I also have a picture of those, but I'll spare you. I'm still spitting

Nutt They're black. At first they just taste kind of like eggs, but there's a truly bizarre (and rather foul) back taste that stays and stays and stays.
I did like the candy though!
