Katie was questioned and selected for jury duty, and Dave had a late-day meeting so Jim and I watched Owen for the 10 hours they were gone. O was not his happy self. We were told it was because he was hungry. What?!? From the time Katie introduced soft solids, he has had no interest. If HE put something in his mouth, most times he would spit it out. Following the advice of their pediatrician who said he wasn't eating food because he was getting too much milk, his bottles were limited to bedtime. Unfortunately, this did not want him to eat more or even try something new. O spent quite some time in his high chair today as we presented one thing after another only to have him push it off the tray onto the floor. Finally, I tried a provolone cheese, milk, and egg white infused protein pancake. He gobbled it up!Then, while I put the destroyed kitchen back together, Jim TRIED to put Owen down for his afternoon nap. It did not go well. O would fall asleep on Jim's shoulder, but would cry as soon as Jim laid him in his crib. Ninety minutes later, I gave it a go, and he only napped for the same amount of time it took us to get him to sleep. Needless to say, we were exhausted and went to bed early!
