Satoshi T The cat I kept formerly disliked "medicine time" and disappeared somewhere by time and mood. 😾

azumac poor kitty. ;-( yes, sometimes we have to "outsmart" the cats! (but they catch on quick)

KimJaye Aww poor kitty! I have to give one of mine thyroid pills twice daily.

azumac oy, what we do for our kitties!!

Nutt Awwww... one of my dogs gets exactly the same heart treatment (pill + liquid), but twice a day. I wrap the pill in a piece of ham, and she usually just swallows it down, but sometimes she decides she doesn't want it. When that happens, she manages to eat the ham and spit out the pill. Maybe she taught the technique to your cat? ;)

azumac We tried the "pill pocket," which worked with one of our previous cats -- one who REALLY liked to eat. But not this guy. He's too picky. So we have to pry open his jaw and try and get the pill in all the way in the back, and follow it with a throat massage. Sometimes it works, other times we're picking a slimy pill off the floor. Yes, we have to do this twice a day - once in the morning and once in the evening. Sounds like your dog is very dexterous with her tongue!

Nutt She is - it's Jess: "I Have a Leaf Stuck to My Nose" - and I relate to picking the slimy pill up off the floor. I've also got to grab it before one of the other dogs does! ;)
