Terry Artt Sounds painful :-). Do you use this line frequently or do you visit for the splendid pics you take?

tigg It is a preserved line, within 10 miles of home. We love old things, and quite often will nip out for a cup of tea on a Saturday afternoon - supporting them and a treat for us! We went to the sheds yesterday afternoon as we wanted to see engine 78018 which is having a full restoration. Look up Great Central Railway. Only twin track preserved main line in the country. Look up engine 78018 too, if interested, in a famous British transport film "snow on bleath Gill "

Terry Artt I am not a railway fan but do like to see history preserved. I thought they ran a service every day but see that it is weekends only. Not familiar with the film but good to see that the engine was saved. Thanks for the info, I do enjoy picking up little bits of history like that.

tigg I'll try and find the You Tube link.
