Exterminate! [day 10]

Droids, camera, action! I was bored, so I began to play camera and toys on my small desk top "studio". Starring Dalek and BB8. No droid was harmed in the making of this shot. Maybe.

Shot on Canon 550D with Canon EF-S 24 mm in a small light tent. Main light: Nissin di866 Flash on "manual", bounced on the ceilng.

Jennifer I love the crispness you get in each of your photos. The coloring in this one works particularly well, with the darker blue getting that menacing Dalek feeling and offsetting it's coppery brass color nicely.

gerlos Thanks Jennifer! It's not so difficult to get precise colours when you shoot with a DSLR in RAW and have complete control on your lights and use Lightroom to develop your images.
The shot was set on a light tent, and I used a ColorChecker Passport first to calibrate colours and white balance of the shot in Lightroom, and then used the HSL sliders to find tune my colours.
Also a menacing dalek helps. 😅
