At first glance, it has very little content and can even be considered "boring" (see discussion). But the title and the writeup change everything. Not that we could not arrive there on our own -- if we had the patience. This is why I always advocate in favor of meaningful titles and some writeup. Indeed, what can be so black beyond the gate? Is it nothing? Is it something? Does a place like this really exist, or is just the angle, timing and the processing of the photo that makes it look that way? After all, it is fashionable to say that every photo is a lie. But we don't mind that photos lie to us -- as long as they don't pretend otherwise.
(I was going to mention that the photo is slightly blurry when viewed large, and no wonder at 1/3s, but I think photographers make too much of sharpness vs blurriness when considering each others' as well as their own photos. If the photo is meant to be viewed at this size, it looks fine. No need to pixel peep.)

Thank you for your explanation. About that blurriness - I had to choose whether I buy myself a tripod or a Hero sub. You know the answer, for sure. :)
