I am sorry, I didn't play too much with the composition, I have just put all the stuff together I did a point-and-shoot thing. It sucks soo much, while the idea is pretty good.
So... here is my yerba mate setup. I have two straws of the same type. One is an old kit straw from Amanda bundle, but they are both spring based and do great work in filtering. They are easy to clean if you get yerba stuck in them.
Currently, I am using Amanda kit guard. It fits my hand very well. I use a ceramic guard because it is easier to maintain. I have a Chilian cup coaster for my guard that I got from one of my colleagues.
I am using stainless steel thermos of over 1 liter.
I am about to finish my eco-organic yerba. It is OK in taste, but I had to get used to it.
This is what I have currently in Pittsburgh, I have much more in Poland: two more guards, 4 straws, some other types of yerba, different cup coasters. I also have a thermometer, which I don't need anymore, as I am mixing boiling water with room-temperature water in approximate proportion 2:1 to get an average ~70°C.
