Karolina Oksiędzka Thanks! I'll try next time :). I know now how to make it better. I can use the chandelier lamps more (those are the two bokeh dots, and there's more than two :D) Now I see that I used camera settings from previous day XD. The best lesson from this is to check twice the settings before I start taking photos ;).
ponzu Excellent use of bokeh. Very cute shot. I wonder if the 1/1600s shutter speed was necessary. Were you worried about hand shake, holding with just one hand? Fortunately, Nikon does fine at high ISO (within reason). as I consider the blurry background, I think that the two circles at top right are good, but the blob bottom left is not great. It is hard to see things as camera sees while shooting, plus you are shooting one-handed. The blob on the left does not kill the photo, but makes it a little less enjoyable. I think one of the best exercises is reshooting the "almost great" photos, making them even better. When you get a chance, try making the same photo again, with a better bokeh in the background.
