Bielik zwyczajny, white-tailed eagle (Haliaeetus albicilla) aka grey eagle.
In wildlife photography, you have to be very patient. To take this picture it took me over 2 hours from almost 11 hours which I spent today in the hide with my friend. This bird was sitting on a branch in one position all this time, attacked by insistent ravens that gnawed at his feathers. I thought several times that he would spread his wings and start to the flight and gain an interesting shot but he sat ... and I was constantly looking through the camera's viewfinder with numb legs and hands. The fog thickened, the rain stopped, the darkness was falling and he was still sitting. I was wondering who will win this game of patience - me or him. And finally, he graciously moved his four letters (in english there are three letters) but, first of all, he waved widely spread his wings and sailed into the darkness of the nearby forest …He was the last actor of that three days show disturbed by uncomfortable weather conditions (cold, wind, rain and fog). Enjoy!
By the way, it is polish emblem...but from the biological point of view, it is not a real eagle.
