116/365 Lion Dancing

This traditional performance called “lion dancing ” is common played by two persons, the little lion only need one. Lion dancing is sort of classic show whenever the Luna New Year is coming. Dancers with the costume “skin”of lion follow the different rhymes of drumming and play the different movements imitated real lions. According the the different regions, there’re two styles generally, southern and northern. This is the southern lion dancing. But I prefer to the northern performers, the reason is simple I was born and grew up there. I’ve lived in southern for years though, I still miss the northern performing arts they’re more splendid and gorgeous.
