Bruce Nice portrait - and very kind of you to do one for them. :-) When you think about it, out of all the material things we accumulate in life, the things we treasure the most are the photos of our families and friends. At least according to Wikipedia :-)

Viola Kuniej ...because the relations in life are the most important and stupid is the one who does not understand it.

Bruce Agreed. I would also add that for anyone who has lost a loved one, especially a child, photographs of those loved ones (as reflections and memories of those relationships) are priceless.

Viola Kuniej yes - that's why photography is so great - because it can excite emotions.

Bruce Exactly what my compatriot David duChemin espouses :-) He's based in Vancouver, a couple of hours drive north of here. His books are insightful, and thought-provoking, but from your tagline, you already know that :-).

Viola Kuniej I love his books and the philosophy of photography! have you ever met him?

Bruce I haven't met him yet. It would be so cool to take one of his workshops when I'm rich and famous (ha). I did order his book "The Soul of the Camera: The Photographer's Place in Picture-Making" recently, have you read it? If it's anything like his other books, it should be excellent. :-).

Viola Kuniej :) no, I have not read it yet. I think it will be good.

Ian Prince And photography is like riding a bicycle, once learned you never forget :)
