In the 5 years that I've been involved in photography, I've gone through various phases, but generally speaking I'm too lazy to edit photos outside of Lightroom etc. I love panoramas, and I've done the occasional HDR, but today was my first ever attempt at actually blending two images together manually in Photoshop. Comprising of 2 images, I shot for the sky which meant the pier was entirely white, so I had to find a way for the two to work nicely together. A few things need to be corrected, but I'm happy with this for a first try.

This was shot at the pier a few hundred metres from home. The light pollution on the right is a combination of the airport and main seaport approximately 5-6km away, and Brisbane city around 20km away.
