It's been a long, long day. I got up really early after just a few hours of sleep, got into the car and went to Bielsko-Biała's Media Markt for an Olympus promotion event. Got there in less than 75 minutes (my Skoda is fast'n'furious :P), met with Grzegorz from Epson, who came with the printer to print those photos, unpacked the whole stuff, found out that computer's wifi driver said "no pasaran", we have no professional background for photos (left it... somewhere while packing) and the printer said "no" as well. C-c-c-combo breaker! Buuuut... improvisation is an important skill in life, and somehow I'm forced to invest some skill points into it - we took a small wifi usb dongle to manage the first problem, Grzegorz packed the printer and went back home so we used the printer that already was in the store, and as a background I had to use our Olympus banner - but it all worked out quite well. With a table full of professional Olympus equipment, balloons and sweets for children and local Olympus promoter, we managed to have quite a nice day - full of funny photos, moments and talks. We sold some cameras as well! which was quite unexpected, since my Oly manager didn't believe, that this action will have any impact on sales.
I packed all this stuff around 8 p.m., went back home (with a visit to a gas station on the way), came home about 9:15 and realized, that Dragon's Parade starts in less than an hour - so after a few minutes of rest, re-packing and selecting the best gear for the job, I left home with E-M1 Mark II, 12-100 and 17/1.2 in my backpack, but I was already late - and the fireworks started when I was somewhere halfway to the center, so it was a good opportunity to test the co-working image stabilisation of the body and the lens. And You know, what? The results were stunning! At 100mm (200 equiv.) I managed to have most of my shots sharp at 1/6th of a second! It worked quite well with the fireworks, as You can see above.
After the show I managed to find my Mum, who was meeting her friends after some horse-riding competition and old-friends meeting, then went to Martyna, who was working at the Pracowaia Piwa's stall during BeerWeek festival - and together we went for "one more beer" to the center with an newly-met friends, then rode our boards back home.
Long day, full of good emotions :)
