jazzie 😃 I think that the region that is still served by the 'mountain' line is too big to just be ignored or served by buses. They're serving some single villages such as Blausee-Mitholz by buses but not the complete line. It is the same thing with the Gotthard Basistunnel that has even the cooler loop lines.
Satoshi T I convinced the significance of the mountain line.😃 btw, Lötschberg region remains my impression on cultural aspects as well. Tschäggättä 👹 is very similar to our Namahage 👹 !

Satoshi T Oh Thanks so much @jazzie ! When Lötschberg Basis tunnel was made, I was worried that this scenic line would be abolished. I felt very relieved when Lötschberger has run for climbing and sightseeing... I admire the efforts of people who have overcome mountain transcends by devising loop lines.
