After the Funeral Mass

My friend Danny's dad died this week. He was 102 years old. His portrait was in the church during the funeral Mass. The choir sang during the Mass along with the piano, in the foreground.

tigg Do you think, when someone reaches 100, there is a weird sepubconcious thought that they will never die? This sounds odd now, but maybe it is more of a shock than when someone dies at say 80. Good entry here, anyway.

Steve Karg I think their optimistic thoughts will depend on their health and how they are feeling. Perhaps medicine will someday allow people to live longer. This man's father lived to be 106, so perhaps the son is thinking he has a lot of years left.
