The Secret is Not to Be in a Hurry

Yesterday I headed into town for dinner (it was a long day, and frankly, I deserved it). On my way I stopped off at the creek. The last couple-a-few days there has been reports of otters playing here.

It's a nice place and should have a picture taken of it. Today I headed out with my tripod and splash pants to do my best. While I'm not totally satisfied with the results (not what I had planned on initially) I do like it.

Today I also have the time to re-try my hand at some HDR processing. And by that I mean I selected seven pictures exposed at -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3 and let Lightroom do all the heaving lifting. While maybe not the best tool for doing this (if I'm to believe the internets) I am rather happy with the results.

I plan on revisiting this spot again in the next couple of days. I might need to switch lens, or get closer to the water's edge, put I most certainly plan and getting the shot I want.
