Glitter

I grew up in times when there wasn't much at the shops. There wasn't much money. My Mum used to sew cloths for herself (sometimes). I remember this particular New Year's Eve. My Mum was putting her make up (which she hardly ever did!) and she had this beautiful dress she made herself. I haven't seen it since that day. I remember the color very vividly. It was kinda yellowish or brownish, can't really name. But the most important part was that it was... shiny! Back than – glitter wasn't very common. I looked at my Mum and I also wanted to shine. But as I said – we didn't have glitter. So I took some christmas balls, went to the bathroom – smashed them until they looked like a glitter and... put everything on my head. Mum, I remember that you weren't very happy when you saw me with glass on my head. But we had this story to tell.

Today... I was trying to sort all of your cloths. And I found this little piece of the fabric. After all this years... Oh, we would laugh so hard...
