Jennifer With the focus on the details of the knot, try getting a little lower next time so that the knot is larger in the foreground. As it is, the boat tends to draw the eye first since it's more prominent in the photo, so it doesn't quite match where the focus is. That will help use the rope as a leading line to guide your eye through the photo, as well.

Is this your boat? It looks like it might be a good one for fishing or sailing around a bit on a lake. :)

Basia You're right, I did not think about it, though I instinctively tried to take the picture as low as possible. Unfortunately, for the last month the water level has dropped by one meter and it's hard to go lower. Thank you:)
