Climbing up the tower of the bernese cathedral reveals a completely new view of the city of Bern which is amazing even for locals. I put the tilt effect on the main street through the old part of the town. You can see two towers where the town gates were in different ancient times. We' re in the oldest part of the city which ends at the Zytgloggeturm (the clock tower with the big clock face) and it grew away from us, first to the Käfigturm visible in the background with a smaller clock face. The third tower was the Christoffelturm which was demolished in 1865. Its foundations can be seen in nowadays pedestrian underpass of the main station.
